Police are investigating an apparent collision after a pedestrian was found dead Friday morning.
Paramedics say they were called to the scene at Bathurst and Eglinton around 5:35 a.m. They say the female victim was pronounced dead at the scene and there wasn’t a vehicle around when they were called.
Traffic Services says the a witness flagged down the driver of the vehicle believed to be involved in the accident. According to Const. Hugh Smith, the driver, who was operating a fuel truck, didn’t realize he had struck the pedestrian, and remained at the scene to speak to police.
The intersection is currently closed off, and is expected to re-open at 10 a.m.
