The Special Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 43-year-old man in Toronto.
It’s been reported that just after midnight on November 6 police received a 911 call.
They responded to an apartment at 10 Dora Avenue, in the Bloor West and Lansdowne area.
Police encountered a man and called for backup from the Emergency Task Force.
During the interaction the man was tasered twice and he was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The man died the following day.
The SIU has assigned three investigators and one forensic investigator to probe the circumstances of this incident.
