It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds.
York Regional Police are talking to Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit after a senior was injured during the takedown of an injured deer Monday.
At 9:30 am police were called to the Henderson and Proctor Avenues area of Thornhill after being informed of the maimed animal’s presence.
The creature was surrounded, and officers used a gun to end its life.
The may have nearly ended the life of a nearby 78-year-old man, too!
He was sent to hospital with undisclosed injuries. It is not known what those injuries are, but he has since been released from the hospital. Was it a direct hit from a bullet? Was he injured by a ricochet? How many shots were fired?
A handy guide, for future reference:
The Deer is on the Left. You CAN Shoot It.
The Old Man is on the Right. You CANNOT Shot Him.
