Is it time for Canada to stop changing the time on clocks found on microwaves, watches, ovens, smartphones, and car dashboards?
Tara Holmes is one of two Kamloops, B.C. residents who have started an online petition recommending that their province stop observing daylight time, which requires a leap forward by one hour ever March and a dial back of one hour once November hits.
The petition argues that the time change is too disruptive, leads to more car collisions, pedestrian injuries, and heart attacks the morning after a leap forward, and the evening following a leap back.
Time for Canada to ditch the ancient time change tradition?
