Canada Post has halted the installation of community mailboxes after the Trudeau Liberals delivered on their pledge to scrap the move away from door-to-door delivery. The move means nearly half a million households that were to be converted over the next two months will keep their current mail service. But there is no guarantee that those who have been switched to community mailboxes will be eligible for door-to-door delivery any time soon.
When it comes to the post office, should we be going Back to The Future? Do we really need door-to-door mail delivery?
