Prime Minister designate, Justin Trudeau will be in Toronto today to meet with Premier Kathleen Wynne.
It’s the first time Trudeau has met with a provincial premier since last week’s Liberal victory in the Federal elections.
A number of topics are thought to up for discussion including an enhanced Canada Pension Plan and the potential for federal funding for infrastructure and transit projects in the province, with expectations high that the pair will see eye to eye on a host issues.
Meanwhile, the pair will be among the dignitaries in attendance at the funeral of Canadian diplomat Ken Taylor on Tuesday afternoon in the city.
The 81-year-old who died of cancer 10 days ago in New York.
He was hailed as a hero for his role in the so called ‘Canadian Caper’ where he helped six U.S citizens escape from Iran during the hostage crisis in 1979.
