York Regional Police have released a composite sketch of a man they believe may be responsible for a string of sex assaults in Newmarket.
Three victims have so far come forward alleging that they were approached by a man who grabbed their face and attempted to kiss them.
Police were first alerted when a victim came forward following an alleged attack on September 30th in the area of Doubletree Lane and Austin Paul Drive.
The 16 year old victim was able to get away and the suspect fled the scene in a grey or silver four-door car that was parked nearby.
A second, similar incident was reported on October 8th, when a 20-year-old female who was walking in the area of Mulock Drive and Doubletree Lane was grabbed from behind.
Following media attention, a third victim then came forward, the 21 year old woman reporting that she was attacked while waiting at a bus shelter on Yonge Street at London Road on August 31st.
After a short struggle, the suspect ran away east on London Road.
The suspect, depicted in the composite sketch is described as male, aged between 20 and 30 years old with olive skin, a round chubby face with short black hair and clean shaven.
He is said to have a stocky build with broad shoulders and approximately 5’10” tall.
Police have also released details about a vehicle of interest, it is described as an older model compact, possibly a four door Toyota, Honda or Mazda which is light grey or silver in colour, with possible damage.
The incidents are believed to be separate from five other reported sexual assaults in the north-end of Newmarket.
