Somebody just had to ruin the fun at the Skydome last night!
At the top of the 7th during Game 5 of the ALDS, fans began protesting a controversial call that gave the Texas Rangers a 3-2 lead over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Some shock their heads. Others voiced their displeasure loudly.
Unfortunately, a large number of the 50,000 fans in attendance decided to protest the umpire’s decision by tossing objects, including beer cans, on to the field.
That’s when a baby was hit by the spray that shot out of a tossed beer can. The child was with its mother in the front row of the Skydome when the incident occurred.
The baby survived. Toronto Police arrested the man and have charged him with mischief.
While the beer tossing fan’s conduct should be condemned, some are asking what a young child was doing at an evening baseball game!
Next time around, let’s show some composure and decorum, okay folks?
