Labatt Breweries announced this morning they’ll be buying the Toronto-based Mill Street Breweries to expand their operations, specifically into Quebec. The local brewery started back in 2002 as a small brew pub and expanded to become Canada’s largest producer of certified organic beer. Labatt is planning on investing $10-million into the company’s operations, money that will be spent on new equipment, including new tanks and to increase production. But, in what is being called a stroke of real time marketing genius, the brewery is answering concerns as they happen on Twitter. Is everything good, always made crappy by big corporations?
