More and more Swedish companies are experimenting with the six-hour work day with many of them sticking to it after seeing positive results. One CEO has said that the “work-hour reduction has led to more-focused employees wasting a whole lot of time on non-work tasks and in pointless meetings.” This work-hour reduction gives employers the opportunity to show they’re dedicated to their employees and their work-life balance. Would you rather work at 40+hr/week job that pays well or a 30hr/week job that pays well but offers you more freedom? Would this work for you? Would you be just as productive? Or would workers take advantage of the limited hours they’re required to work?
