Admit it. You’d love to post a sign like the one fed-up Calgary homeowner Justin Kern has put up on the street in front of his house!
Kern doesn’t have a driveway, and must park on the street. But he’s tired of coming home from his night shifts, only to find no parking in front of his own home, and has to instead park far down the street.
WARNING! PROFANITY CONTAINED BELOW!
He threw up a professionally-crafted sign that read: ‘If you don’t live here, don’t park in front of my fucking house.’
City bylaw wasn’t happy with his choice of words, as he lives close to a school, so he edited it to reading ‘uckin’ instead!
His neighbours agree that the parking situation is troublesome on that street, although they don’t necessarily agree with the tone of his sign.
But, Kern claims that since he erected it, no one has dared park in front of his dwelling!
Does a homeowner have a right to expect to be able to park directly in front of their house on the street? Remember, the city owns the street, not the homeowner!
