An investigation into a fraudulent airline ticket operation has resulted in charges for a woman from the Philippines.
It’s alleged would-be-travelers purchased plane tickets with cash or credit cards from a woman believed to be an authorized seller, however they never received their tickets.
And they soon discovered unauthorized purchases on their credit card statements, totaling $150, 000 amongst all the victims.
38 year old Lorna Natalie Arcega was arrested in Toronto and faces 18 charges including fraud and unauthorized use of credit card data.
Charges were also laid by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) under the Travel Industry Act of Ontario.
She’s due to appear in court towards the end of September.
Police believe there are some other victims and are asking those people to come forward.
