During his acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Kanye West unsurprisingly gave a ten minute rant. Within the rant, West apologized to Taylor Swift for taking her microphone in 2009. Swift actually presented him with the award last night. At the end of the rant, he announced he will in fact be running for President of the United States in 2020. Before the announcement West admitted to have smoked something before giving the speech. Presidential candidate Donald Trump has undoubtedly open the gates for those with name recognition and money to enter politics.
