The double murders of WDBJ reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward in Virginia this week happened at the hands of former colleague and chronic complainer Vester Flanagan.
Chris Voss is a former FBI Chief International Hostage Negotiator and CEO of Black Swan Group. In regards to Flanagan, Chris feel “there is a pattern of behaviour with common traits that often show up leading to these types of incidents.” When Chris would be called on to conduct hostage negotiation, he’d have to do a sometimes ‘on the fly’ evaluation/assessment of the hostage taker.
Dr. Frank Farley is past President of the American Pychological Association. What kind of psychological malfunction causes someone like Vester Flanagan to commit a murder on live television and then post his video of his actions on Facebook and Twitter? Why would Flanagan then kill himself? Farley talks about individuals being completely engrossed with media and is concerned about possible copycats.
