Justin Trudeau has promised an additional $60-billion in spending over the next 10 years, bringing the total spent on infrastructure to $125-billion. This includes a significant new funding for public transit, transportation, affordable housing and funding to help communities adapt to climate change. Trudeau says the Liberals will run short-term deficits until 2019, at which point, the books would balance (themselves). Is this a reasonable assessment? Is a failing Liberal campaign the reason today’s poll is showing an NDP majority?
