According to a report in the Toronto Sun, the provincial government has been devising a plan to bring in high occupancy lanes on several highways around the GTA, over the past two years.
This primarily stems from a filed Freedom of Information request by the New Democrats to inform senior officials with the Ministry of Transportation in advance.
The NDP’s are looking for specific information in regards to the work that has to do with traffic models and unreleased documents.
The government of Ontario has apparently had the idea for toll lanes since 2013.
