Yvonne Craig, best known for originating the role of Batgirl on TV during the 60s, has died at the age of 78. The ballet dancer-turned-actress died at her Los Angeles area home, after a two-year battle with breast cancer that spread to her liver, according to her website. She joined Batman for what would be the show’s third and final season in 1967, portraying Commissioner Gordon’s daughter and librarian Barbara Gordon by day, crime-fighter Batgirl by night for twenty six episodes. Back in the day Craig was quite the fox.
