Motorists and commuters are discreetly waiting for the removal of the HOV lanes now that both the Pan Am and Parapan games are over.
The temporary lane restrictions on highways around the GTA will finally be lifted on Tuesday, August 18th at 11 p.m.
The lanes were brought into effect for the athletes, coaches, trainers, workers and officials for the games. At first, vehicles were required to have at least three passengers, but that was later dropped down to two.
HOV lanes are currently in effect on the 427, 401, Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway.
