The man guilty of impersonated a solider during last year’s Remembrance Day ceremony has received a suspended sentence of probation & community service. He wiped away tears at his sentencing hearing this morning, telling the courtroom his actions were wrong, misguided and inappropriate. Meanwhile, a twenty-seven year old man has been charged with mischief after he climbed the National War Memorial in Ottawa and began ‘fornicating the statue’. This is the same memorial where Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was fatally shot last October. Would you agree that Canadians don’t respect our military or the history of our military involvement?
