Environment Canada has confirmed that an EF-2 tornado has touched down just north of Guelph in the town of Teviotdale.
The winds peaked at 220 kilometres an hour during an intense province wide storm.
The tornado left around 9 million dollars of damage in its wage, obliterating two homes and several barns.
