Several people are facing charges in a series of armed robberies, which police say they were able to string together since some of the incidents occurred right after each other.
Between early March and late May, there were a dozen armed robberies at some TTC stations, a few stores and a bank.
“Project Castle” involved several police divisions who staged stake-outs as part of their investigation.
10 search warrants were executed, and over 140 charges were laid, including armed robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of a prohibited firearm.
3 handguns were recovered, as well as stolen TTC passes.
Police believe the accused may be responsible for other robberies, and that there were other participants who have not yet been caught.
