Police in Paris opened fire on a car that tried to crash through barricades at the Tour de France.
It happened on Sunday, hours before the final arrival of the race on Sunday, officials say.
The car ultimately drove away after officials began shooting, both occupants of the car were unharmed.
Luc Poignant, a spokesman with the SGP police union, said the cyclists proceeded to conclude the race as normal.
No officers were injured during the incident.
According to Reuters, the incident was minor, and is not being treated as a terror-related incident, rather just a refusal to comply.
