With the Pan Am games finally in full swing, It would seem that drivers may be coming to terms with the new HOV lanes.
According to Toronto police, there were just two accidents on highways in the GTA between 6am and 9am on Monday morning, that compares with 12 during the same time period last week.
In addition to this, there has also been an improvement in the time it takes to clear the roadways after an accident, with special Pan Am protocols coming into play.
Police have also noted that now that the games are underway , they have noticed that the HOV lanes have become much busier as athletes use the dedicated paths to make their way to and from competitions.
The games run until July 26th with the Parapan Am games taking place between August 7th and 15th.
