A pair of 18 year olds have been charged after officers with the Neighbourhood Safety Unit had a gun aimed at them.
Police were on patrol Monday night in the Tobermory Drive and Finch Avenue West area, and approached 2 men who then fled in opposite directions.
One of them ran through a community park and into a ravine behind a building, with officers in pursuit.
The man then pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the officers, who demanded he drop the weapon.
He complied and tossed the gun off to the side.
The officers then apprehended the other man.
18 year old Derick Freeman is facing a long list of charges including possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon and pointing a firearm.
Dominic Wright, also 18, was also arrested. He faces charges including possession of proceeds of crime.
