WINNIPEG – This Louis Riel long weekend could be the one of the warmest we’ve had in some time.
Global weather specialist Mike Koncan tells 680 CJOB we can expect sunshine and temperatures above zero.
“We’re going to be doing plenty of melting over the next couple of days, which isn’t great for the snow sculptures but it’s certainly easy when it comes to getting outside,” says Koncan. “Things have been warming up across the prairies. We did get over ten degrees yesterday in Wasagaming.”
Koncan adds that there could be rain Monday but not much will fall.
Above freezing temperatures should stick around for the next four days.
