Following a successful 2010 campaign, Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti is now facing a pile of legal troubles.

The Compliance Audit Committee last month, found that Mammoliti overspent during his campaign, contravening the Municipal Elections Act.

The report showed he overspent by 40%, and omitted certain expenses.

On Monday afternoon, the Committee voted unanimously in favour of proceeding with legal action against the Ward 7 councillor.
