Darwin, the Ikea monkey, is back in the news.  Storybook Farm Primate Sanctuary, the space that now houses the animal, is coming forward with allegations that he was physically abused by his previous owner.  They say that Yasmin Nakhuda choked Darwin and hit him with a wooden spoon to make him behave.  The sanctuary also alleges Nakhuda was planning to remove the monkey's teeth as he was biting the family in an effort to protect himself.  Nakhuda's lawyer, Ted Charney, says the claims are false and aimed to discredit his client so she will drop her fight to win the animal back.
