Police in Peel Region have arrested a 24 year old woman in Mississauga's first murder of the year.

Teresa Williams is accused of killing her young daughter, 2 year old Evadne Williams-Scott.

Williams was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after officers were called to a home on Colonial Drive, near Ridgeway and the Collegeway.

The suspect will appear in court on Wednesday afternoon to face a 2nd degree murder charge.
