A freezing rain warning remains in effect for most of Southern Ontario, including the City of Toronto.

Environment Canada says a winter weather system is fast approaching from the American mid west.

It looks like it will start as a mix of snow and ice pellets, late Sunday afternoon.

By the early evening hours it will change over to freezing rain.

Overnight, as the temperature rises that will change into rain.
