Shark fin soup is back on the menu for some Toronto restaurants.

City council banned the controversial delicacy over a year ago after outcry from animal rights activists.

An Ontario Superior Court judge has now struck down the ban, saying the city overstepped its jurisdiction, and that the by-law was discriminatory towards Chinese Canadians.
