Councillors to Discuss Mayor Ford Ruling
Toronto/AM640

11/27/2012

Toronto city council meets on Tuesday, the day after a decision to remove Mayor Ford from office.

ALthough this was a regularly scheduled meeting, the city solicitor is expected to deliver a statement on the impact of Monday's ruling.

The briefing will be about what councillors need to consider in the near future including the possibility of a by-election or an appointment of an interim mayor.

The Ford fallout isn't expected to dominate the agenda. Other items up for discussion include the future of the Toronto Zoo's three elephants, a 9 percent water hike, and the 2013 police budget.
