It's a move that could make, or break his candidacy to lead the Liberal Party of Ontario.
Glen Murray says he is against building a casino, either in the downtown core, or along the city's waterfront.
Murray, who entered the leadership race earlier this month, says he supports local business and residents and community groups known as "No Casino Toronto".
In a statement released Friday afternoon, Murray says "A casino on Toronto's waterfront or in the central business district would inhibit, not help, the economy of downtown Toronto".
The statement goes on to read "as Premier, I would not support additional provincial funding for the infrastructure that would be necessary to support a Toronto waterfront or downtown casino".
