The much anticipated, and slightly controversial renovations of Nathan Phillip's Square, have hit another snag.

The re-do of the rink was pegged at $1.9 million, however issues with the freedom arches have forced the government management committee to request an additional $750 thousand.

The total makeover of the square now sat around $40 million, until an extra $5 million in repairs were spent on rehabilitating the parking garage.
