The last of the Lake Shore Blvd. motels will be torn down on Thursday.

The Beach Motel which was built in the 1950's is being demolished to make way for a new condo development.

Councillor Mark Grimes calls it  bittersweet event.

He says it's sad in a way because it's a part of Toronto history, but happy because the area is being revitalized.
