It's been on the back-burner for more than three decades, and today, will once again be brought under the spotlight.
At the TTC's monthly meeting today, a proposed Downtown Relief Line will be brought to the table, with a request that it become a priority project.
The new line would ease the crunch at Bloor-Yonge station, however funding has not been figured out.
Also on the agenda today, getting cell phone service to the underground.
A staff report suggests at 20 year, $25 million contract be awarded to Broadcast Australia, with service to be implemented - on platforms - within two years.
The third key item today, deals with an expected delay to the Spadina extension, with a forecasted opening of fall 2016, instead of winter 2015.
