A mother and daughter were struck by a truck over the dinner hour on Tuesday.

Both were crossing Steeles and Highway.27 when a truck hit them as it was making a right hand turn.

The 14 year-old girl remains in serious condition at Sick Kids, while her mother was treated and released.

Traffic Services is now investigating and Police have not ruled out charges.
