Metrolinx is announcing a massive transit project north of the city.

A 3.5-kilometre stretch of Highway 7 in Vaughan will be widened to allow for more Viva buses, which will conect with the expansion of the Yonge-University subway line.

The widened roads will allow for three new vivastations and an inter-regional bus terminal.

Construction is slated for 2013, and is expected to finish by the end of 2015.
