A Toronto transit commission worker is dead and a second injured after they were hit by subway train near the Yorkdale Station. 

The employees were struck by a service train on an elevated portion of the tracks just before 5 Friday morning.
 
As a result of the incident, there is no subway service between the Downsview and Lawrence West stations.  

The TTC says shuttle buses are being used to ferry passengers around the area.

The deceased transit worker has been identified as Peter Pavlovski. The 49 year old had been an employee with the TTC since 1990. He was a Road Master-a subway track and tunnel foreman.
