A police officer is lucky to have escaped injury after a wheel from a van smashed into his cruiser.
It happened Thursday morning on Highway 401, near James Snow Parkway in Milton.
The wheel came from the westbound side of the highway, crossed the median, and hit the vehicle on the eastbound side.
The cruiser is off to the repair shop.
