Police link Galloway Boys Gang to Danzig St Shootings
AM640/Toronto

9/11/2012

Toronto police said on Tuesday during two separate press conferences that they have linked one of the city's most notorious street gangs -- The Galloway Boys -- to a string of shootings and homicides, including the July 16, 2012 Danzig St. shootings which left  14-year-old Shyanne Charles of Toronto and 23-year-old Joshua Yasay of Ajax dead and 23 others injured.

Police allege that on July 16, 2012, a group of people from the Malvern area of Scarborough arrived at the Danzig St barbeque where they were quickly told to leave by members of the Galloway Boys. The group left, only to return a short time later with more people, that's when gun fire erupted.

Investigators say in total, they have linked three killings and six shootings between Sept. 4, 2011 and Aug. 10, 2012 to the Galloway Boys gang.
