Police say the mother of Chun Qu Jiang, the suspect in the GTA body parts case, has been found dead.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious, as it appears the mother has died of natural causes.

Her son's alleged murder victim, Guang Hua Liu, had her body parts scattered around the city. They were found in parks in Mississauga and Scarborough, as well as in a suitcase found floating in Lake Ontario near Bluffers Park.

Jiang is charged with second-degree murder, and is due in court Monday.
