Peel Police have shut down their search for more body parts in Mississauga.

Investigators say remains found in Scarborough over the weekend are human and there are "obvious similarities" to other body parts found in Mississauga.

A head, foot, and two hands were discovered in the Credit River at Hewick Meadows Park last week.

Police are not releasing what body part was found in the West Highland Creek Saturday, but say they are waiting for DNA tests to be carried out.

Peel Regional Police Sgt. Pete Brandwood says investigators are "pretty close" to determining the identity of the victim.
