Bendy Buses Returning To Toronto Streets
Toronto/Am640 News

8/15/2012

TTC officials are bringing back the old bendy bus to run on some of their busiest routes starting in 2013.

They haven't been seen on Toronto streets in almost 10 years.

The buses allow up to 112 passengegers as compared to the regular bus that carries about 65.

Councillors and the Transit commision are expected to approve the purchase of 27 of the buses at a cost of just over $24 million in September.

TTC spokesman Brad Ross said more buses will be delivered in 2014.
