Super bug hits St. Catharines General

The Niagara Health System is reporting an outbreak of a super bug at the St. Catharines General Hospital.  

This time the outbreak is V-R-E, a drug resistant bacterial infection.  

The NHS says there have been nine cases of the infection since August 7th with three still in hospital.  

Infection prevention and control measures are in place to fight the spread.
