Man Overboard
Posted 7/27/2012 8:43:00 AM

John Oakley returns August 7th. In the meantime...

Letnik, a.k.a Captain John may chain himself to his floating landmark Captain John's Seafood Restaurant when City officials come to take possession. Letnik has been running his restaurant for 42 years. He also hasn't paid his property taxes in 5 years.

Letnik owes more than $500,000 in back taxes, rent and insurance on his ship and ramp. City officials want their money! They will be evicting Letnik today.

Is this matter solely based on owed money? Or is the removal of the ship a way to beautify the Waterfront?

Beautify the waterfront. Isn't it a bit late for that? All the damn condos built side by side have ruined it already!

The man must have known that he had to pay taxes...When he chose to not pay, he put himself in the situation he is presently in...He is the author of his own downfall...For this I say ... looks good on him

Look: There's too much talk about this boat.

Let's just have the States blow it up with an old Pershing Missile.

@Douglas Ford [deleted] I remember you wanting to kick people out of this country if they wanted to blow things up?
