Canadians are being warned that provinces will see a slow down in the delivery of the H1N1 vaccine over the next couple of weeks.
It's due to the special dose being produced for pregnant women. Drug maker GlaxoSmithKline, was asked to make special batches that are adjuvant-free, and the switchover of production lines will lower output.
The head of Canada's Public Health Agency, Dr. David Butler-Jones, says it was hoped GSK would be delivering three million doses of vaccine a week.
Butler-Jones says he can't give a precise figure at this point, but he says there should be 225,000 doses of unadjuvanted vaccine available by next week for pregnant women.
