Jays Beat Braves

Ricky Romero battled wind and control problems to pitch four shutout innings as the Toronto Blue Jays topped the Atlanta Braves, 3-0. Romero, who is making a bid for an Opening Day assignment, walked four, but allowed only two hits before turning the ball over to Dana Eveland, who pitched three shutout innings with four strikeouts. The Blue Jays scored all three runs off Atlanta starter Tim Hudson, who went four innings and allowed seven hits and two earned runs. Hudson struck out four and said he felt fine. He missed almost the entire 2009 season after Tommy John surgery. Travis Snyder opened the Blue Jays second with a double and scored on Brad Emaus' single. Melky Cabrera had two singles for the Braves.

AM640 Sports Poll
Which of the following most closely sums up your opinion on the new "headshot" legislation drafted Wednesday by the NHL?
The GM's handled this properly. These hits weren't causing major issues until this year.
The GM's didn't go far enough. The referees should determine whether a hit to the head is dangerous, and should give a penalty accordingly.
The GM's waited too long to react instead of being pro-active and two very good hockey players like Booth and Savard may never be the same on or off the ice.
Voting on this poll is restricted to one vote every hour 1 hour(s) .
