Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador is requiring parents of children entering the minor hockey system to take a one-hour online course on respect and how to behave at the hockey rink. Jack Lee, the president of Hockey NL, said he hopes this program will help curb verbal abuse from the stands when minor hockey players are on the ice.

Too many Canadians are being denied jobs, places in school or entry into the United States because police services are disclosing information they shouldn’t during criminal record checks, says a new report. The Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) released a report Monday which accuses police of disclosing “non-conviction” information including withdrawn charges, acquittals and complaints to police where charges were never laid.

Men's refusal to ask for directions when lost, stems not from their 'pig-headedness' but 'blind panic', experts have claimed. While women are more than happy to use all available resources to help them reach a goal, men will rigidly stick to their original "system" - such as a map or set of directions - even though it has clearly led them astray.
