5/15/2012

10:00 Employment Insurance Changes
Finance Minister Jim Flaherty has said to expect tougher rules on the types of work Canadians must consider when they are searching for work while on employment insurance. Flaherty said "I was brought up in a certain way. There is no bad job. The only bad job is not having a job." Mike finds out from the listeners, the types of jobs they had to do in order to get by.

11:00 Walking Texters!
Police in the town of Fort Lee, New Jersey are cracking down on people that are walking and texting at the same time. The fee is $85 if they catch these "dangerous walkers". Mike wants to know some of the encounters the listeners have had with these texting walkers, and they share their stories.

12:00 Gephyrophobia
Lisa Cochrane has Gephyrophobia, which is a combination of claustrophobia and acrophobia. When she approached the Confederation Bridge that links both Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, she had to pull over, and ask one of the bridge employees if he could drive her over because she was frightened of crossing. Mike asks listeners if they have had a similar experience, or if they share the same phobia as Lisa.
