John Oakley is the morning show host on Toronto’s leading news/talk radio station – AM640. His unique brand of smart and controversial radio, mixed with a healthy touch of humour has engaged and entertained an audience that has ranked his show #1 among Adults 25-54 on the competitive AM radio band in Canada’s largest radio market.

From his start in radio in the early 1980’s John has plied his trade at a number of top radio stations in both Toronto and Montreal, with stops along the way that included roles as Executive producer, writer and host of the national Just For Laughs Comedy Network, hosting a nation TV call-in programs on “Live LIFE TV” and “Out Of Bounds” which aired on Men’s TV, Fox SportsWorld and Global TV, and Media Consultant to the Chairman of Magna International. John Oakley is widely considered to be one of this country's pre-eminent talk-radio hosts.

John has also facilitated numerous public debates, seminars, forums and keynote addresses, and has hosted many high profile fund-raising events.

In his down-time John is an avid hockey player, golfer and skier, with a passion for Canadian art, comedy albums and antique radios.
